One year later...

One year ago, I married the love of my life. It's funny because leading up to this week I definitely downplayed what this day would feel like. Matt and I have been together for almost 6 years now. We have lived together for over 4 years. Plus, we have traveled the world together. No small feat. We have faced awful days where it felt like everything and everyone was against us. And we have had amazing days where the world felt like our oyster, just waiting to be cracked opened and explored forever. And sometimes those feelings happened during the same 10 hours.

So what would a measly one year anniversary feel like compared to that?

Surprisingly, I was overcome with emotion this morning. I woke up to the soft sounds of NYC below us, Zelda cuddling on my foot and Matt breathing heavily beside me. I woke up with the immense feeling that I love my life and everything we have created. I woke up with so much gratitude that even on the hard days, Matt and I love each other unconditionally.

So now, one year later, after we both said I do, and hugged our families and friends in a small ceremony in Islamorada. One year after all the (delicious) cake had been eaten. One year after sharing our wedding photos from around the world. One year after living in a 400 square foot apartment in Switzerland. One year after officially marrying the love of my life...I can't wait for the next 150 years (I plan to live forever).

And now a bit of sharing...First up, our travel wedding photos...

Some of our best memories from traveling is waking up early...usually ungodly early. And standing in the (sometimes cold) but always gorgeous surroundings with just our tripod and clicker.

We came home and had an amazing and small wedding.

Before we embarked on a honeymoon that took us around the world.

We started in Seattle and took a cruise to Alaska...

Then made stops in Thailand, India and Russia....

Before finally moving our little family to NYC...

Zelda is a fan of this place, and Matt has started his career as a lawyer.

While he continues to let me live my dream frolicking around the world. And sharing it with you all...

But I always love coming home and exploring this amazing city we call home.
