pasadena

Our trip came to an end with a quick stop in LA/Pasadena.  On New years day we were able to watch our Florida State Seminoles take on the Oregon Ducks.  It was incredible to be able to be apart of a new college football era - College Playoffs.  We are huge football fans and the biggest FSU fans (I was a cheerleader back in the day for those who don't know) and a year ago I was here watching FSU win its third National Championship.  Although this game was not what we expected (we lost 59-20) it was still fun to see a competitive game with some old college friends.

After the game we sadly walked back to our car mourning the end of our season and the end of our trip.  We got In-n-Out burger for the last time (and probably the 10th time overall) and watched the second playoff game in our hotel room reminiscing what an amazing trip it had been.  The next morning we woke up at the crack of dawn and started the trek back home.

To get home we drove 3 days in a row, 12 hour days binging on Serial (#teamadnan) and switching every two hours. By the third day all I wanted was my own bed and a day without seeing the inside of the car but we made it back in amazing time.  And then it was done. And it felt as if the whole trip had been one amazing dream.
